EXIF Viewer — See What Your Photo Reveals

Check the hidden EXIF data inside a photo: camera model, lens, exposure settings, date taken and GPS location. It works with JPG and PNG files and runs entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.

How it works

Drop a JPG or PNG and Photopik reads its embedded EXIF tags and groups them: camera, capture settings, dates, image details and location. If the photo contains GPS coordinates they are shown with a warning and a map link that only opens when you click it. You can also expand the full list of tags. Nothing is changed or uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What is EXIF data?+

EXIF is information a camera or phone stores inside a photo file: device model, exposure settings, the date and time, and sometimes the GPS location where it was taken.

Does this tool support HEIC, WebP or AVIF?+

Not yet. Metadata reading works with JPG and PNG files; for other formats only basic file details are shown.

How can I remove the data I find?+

Use the Metadata Cleaner, which re-encodes the image without any embedded tags. Removing GPS and other EXIF data before sharing a photo online is a sensible default.
